‘Nothing we do is so important that we cannot take the time to do it safely’

Our executive board, management teams and employees are committed to meeting and exceeding legislative requirements to provide a safe and healthy workplace for all.

We firmly believe that all accidents are preventable and will always insist that the health, safety and wellbeing of our people remain our number one priority from planning right through to delivery on all of our projects.

Circet is fully committed to:

Improve our health and safety performance

Re-evaluate our goals and objectives to ensure that we meet and exceed expectations

Promote a culture of care where every single person recognises and believes that safety is paramount

Promote open, honest and effective communication with all stakeholders

Encourage our supply chain to share our passion to embed safety excellence into everything we do and promote this vision to others.

Actively encourage the reporting of all Health, Safety and Environmental incidents and near misses

Management System

To support our vision and values, we have developed a fully Integrated Management System (IMS).

This provides an accurate monitoring and measuring tool for the continuous improvement of health, safety, environment and quality within the group and is certified to ISO 9001:2015; ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018

Achievements

We pride ourselves on our achievements and on the recognition we have received for our contributions to the industry. We have achieved the “Deloitte Best Managed Company” award in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 recognising companies operating at the highest levels of business performance.

Circet won a Distinction Award at the 2015 National Irish Safety Organisation Awards in County Galway, for our work in ‘Managing Health and Safety in every project Circet takes on board’.

Many entrants from both the public and private sector participate in the awards, which are endorsed and supported by the Health and Safety Authority.

HSQE Corporate Culture

A positive safety culture increases safe behaviour and contributes to good health and safety practice. A large body of academic research around safety culture has been undertaken over the last ten years, examining its impact on safety performance.

The five key elements that have been identified as being necessary for a ‘positive’ safety culture within the Circet are:

  1. Strong, visible, consistent senior management commitment and leadership to achieve good health and safety.
  2. Visible line-management involvement and interest to support staff in improving health and safety.
  3. Shared belief between members of an organisation that management are serious about health and safety.
  4. Organisational procedures and practices that support safe working.
  5. Staff/Contractors know what they are expected to do in relation to health and safety and their work activities.

The Golden Rules

Our Ten Golden Rules are mandatory within Circet and we encourage the reporting of non compliance via the 24/7 accident emergency hotline. All incidents are investigated.
